What is the next step for the program? New Coach, better players, schollies, more dedication from administration, players, coaches, weight room work?

Seriously though, What is the problem and what needs to be done and why has the program fallen off so much in the past few years?

It obviously starts with a new coach. That coach should have D1 experience, and understand recruiting, and coaching in a institution like ours. A new coach should demand a new attitude and off season dedication. Scholarships could help but would not be critical but there are two other PL teams with them.
As I mentioned there are alumni who have that type of experience!!
I would hope the decision has already been made as recruiting for next year is already done but a new coach could get started on the recruiting trail this summer for 09.
Women's athletics has become very competitive and we have not moved with it unitl recently. The templete for us now is women;s field hockey. Excellent coach, good assts, rigorous off season ( 5 weeks of tournaments and games), connections to the local community through clinics and camps, fundraising and scholarships help have all begun to move the program forward. Even so he is probably another year from breaking out .
