Where the money goes!!

Congratulations to both schools for selling out 150th but I have heard something disturbing. The break-even for the game is 30,000 and the surplus is being used to finance the kickoff to the campaign rather than ending up in the athletic department budget. Shouldn't the campaign finance itself?? So we are losing the normal receipts for a home Lehigh game and athletics is not benefiting from the surplus from the Yankee Stadium event. Where is our AD??? I can't imagine Joe Sterret going along with an arrangement like our AD has agreed to??

Unreal, and sorry to hear this.  Schools almost always use windfall payments (like when a school from a lesser conference makes a big bowl game) to invest in their athletc department.

Bruce is a "good" guy and a "nice" guy but a classic "Yes man" it appears.  He does not appear to have a vision or strategic plan for the athletic department as a whole, or any individual programs.  Lehigh desired to get better at basketball and Lax and they sure achieved that goal while leaving us in the dust.  Lafayete athletics remain stuck in nuetral, while Bruce has taken the role of Dean of Discipline for the Athletic Department.

Neutral while stalled and going nowhere maybe! This department needs a jumpstart. I thought Jim Dicker would provide that, now he is gone and where is Annette D'Orio?? How much time does she have to devote to athletics. It seems the athletic department is the same in the pecking order as intramurals or the Foodie House??

I'm dreaming, but we need an AD like the new guy at Holy Cross.  He is dynamic and understands how to run an athletic department at a smaller DI school. It remains to be seen if he will elevate the athletic department at Holy Cross to a significant degree, but he is damm sure gonna try.

This is assuming Lafayette cares to have an AD that will attempt to improve our athletic department.

We've been saying this for years. It's really getting old.

Bruce has a sweet gig at the ranch.  All he has to do is manage his budget.  He is not accountable for the success or failure of LC sports.  Bruce would last about 2 years in the real world with his performance.  The guy should be embarassed to show his face on campus and at alumni events.  Keep saying yes to the admin and you'll be fine, Bruce.
