WLax @ American

Tied at 13 with under a minute left in regulation.  Pards playing tough and answering everything AU can throw at them.
Bogus Megapardus

OT in DC.  Tied at 13.

MUST win for Pards to have a shot at the PL tourney.
Bogus Megapardus

Pards will all draws and maintain possession for practically the entire OT.

Pards win 15-13.  Great game!

Nice win for the girls.  However, they are only 1-5 in the PL with Bison and 'Gate to go.

We can still get into the PL tourney if we beat the Buffalo Chips and Gate and if we get just a little help (American U. has to beat Colgate).  This Pard team is quite good and very capable of winning these games.  I was really impressed with the effort, skill and determination this afternoon.

Ana White - what you do does not go unnoticed, believe me.  Awesome game!  You too, Laura Kleiber!  MVP to both of you, at least from this lax fan's chair.

Wilhelmsen and Avallone - the future is yours.  And kudos for hanging in there, Meghan Curtin. That was a rough ride but your D did you solid.
Bogus Megapardus

Just a note - it seems that we do not have a goalie on the roster for next year.  Meghan Curtin has been a stalwart between the pipes since she was a freshman but she's due to graduate.

We had two goalies in waiting last year (Mimi Connell and Blake Gentner) but neither appears on the current roster. This is going to have to be a full scholarship priority in the off season, I would think.

Bogie: Both Lax teams need to be full scholie.  You LAX alums need to step up with the bucks!

As I'm sure you know, it would be very late in the game to get a goalie for next year if they hadn't already landed one.   However goalie Gina Bianchi from the Rochester area signed with LC back in November, so at least there will be one at that position.

137 - Bianchi (from Irondequoit) appears on the LaxPower list but Lafayette has not announced any "official" class of 2018 recruits of which I'm aware.

Am I mistaken on this?

Even so that leaves us with exactly *one* goalie going into next season.  Not so good.

You nailed it Ed. Very little money coming in from Lax . Hell, they can't even raise enough to have their own field. Money talks.

women's lax will be fully funded with 12 scholarships after four years (3 per year). It is also NOT a counter sport so those equivalencies can be split. I agree a goalie should be a high priority. I don't know why next years class has not been announced. Is the signing schedule different??? Acceptances must have gone out by now!!

Having the men at full scollie would mean extra schollies for other women's sports. It's a tough nut!!

Lafayette apparently doesn't announce anything until next fall.   However she definitely signed with LC according to reports from her local papers.

The WLax incoming class announcement for the class of 2017 was made after the women had been on campus for a month.

True, and that announcement was for the current freshmen, several of whom played very well at AU on Saturday.  I'm concerned about the next class however.  We don't "officially" have a goalie on the roster although, as Bison137 points out, LaxPower and local press have Gina Bianchi from Rochester NY coming next season.

However this pic from Twitter might possibly provide some insight into Ms. Bianchi's college choice considerations.

Our goalie for the next four years?

She is confirmed as having signed a letter of intent to attend LC.   I'd consider that pretty "official".   Even more official than wearing Lafayette garb.

Yeah I saw that too but I like the Lafayette gear better.

White and Kleiber are special athletes.  They should be women athletes of the year for LC.

You're right New.  Money talks and B.S. walks.  Too much B.S. from Lax alums and not enough money.
