The Jaspers lost to Bucknell by just a single point on Sunday.

Pards win another, 16-12. The game was closer than the score would indicate.

5-2 on the season, with Villanova up next.

I hope everybody here gets a chance to watch this team at some point this season. Forget all the "excuses" about limited scholarships, academic index, small school, etc. - this team plays top-tier Division I lacrosse and can compete with any program in the nation.

People who aren't lacrosse enthusiasts or who are not former players can feel it just by watching. The Pards have the speed and the athleticism and (for the most part) the size, but it's the little things - the "small ball" - that really astound me. Their ability to adapt situationally, on the fly, is extraordinary. They play in control and avoid fouls, while deliberately forcing opponents to foul and yield free position shots. They're disruptive on defense, unhesitating in transition, and are becoming a bewildering force offensively.

Yes, there are some areas that need improvement. Too often the D loses focus in tight spots. Sometimes they bite off more than they can chew on clears. They need to convert a better portion of their FPs. And they're still prone to unforced turnovers now and again. But seriously - just sit back and watch these players perform for a game. You'll be convinced that Lafayette can, when all is said and done, get it right.

All true, but they have, for the first time, a full allotment of scholarship and it looks like money well spent.
She has put together a team that aspires to win when they get on the field. And they believe they can beat anyone!! They are fun to watch!!

Allison should be pleased at this point!
