The poll consisting of Athletic Directors and Sports Information personnel have listed the Lafayette women's team as finishing 9th, ahead of Boston U.

Poll consists of coaches and SID's.   AD's never vote in it.

Army, with four returning senior starters including Kelsey Minato, not surprisingly was the choice for 1st.   Next four pretty close.

I'll say it: The Nolan era was a colassal failure.

If that's the baseline, I'm wondering how one could describe the preceding era, which I will only describe as the pre-Nolan Void to avoid waking the slumbering monster. Perhaps there are no words for it.
Perhaps WBB at Lafayette is cursed and we need an exorcism. The years before the previous two regimes weren't so great either.

Curious how watchers of the women's team would compare the talent left by Smith with the talent left by Nolan.    Players that Nolan inherited included Lakiesha Wright, Lauren Jackson, Elizabeth Virgin, Danielle Fiacco, Sarah McGorry, Madeline Fahan, Samantha Jordan, Melissa Downey, and Alicia Manning.     How does that group compare to the current roster?

Nolan had a pre-existing relationship with Danielle Fiacco and brought her on board.

Not so.   She committed to LC at least 7 months before Nolan came on board.

I must defend adcs2. I was at a function where Diane Nolan told the assemblage that she was recruiting Fiacco for Yale but convinced her to accompany her to Lafayette. If Bison is right among her sins Diane Nolan was also a  liar.

If she really said that, then she is indeed a liar.  However it would have been such a flagrant lie - and one so easily discovered - that I suspect she said something about having recruited Fiacco while at Yale and then calling Fiacco when she agreed to take the LC job to make sure she was still on board despite the coaching change.   There are many pieces of evidence that Nolan did not recruit Fiacco to LC, but one good one is the thread from this site when Fiacco committed to Tammy just as her senior year was beginning. That was almost 8 months before Nolan was hired.

If Nolan actually claimed she was the one who recruited her to LC, then she should have been fired by the AD before the press conference ended.

TAMMY recruited her!

There is no question, she who shall not be named recruited Danielle. I met her and her parents at a postgame reception while she who shall not be named was still the coach.  Danielle was at a game last year, had a conversation with her. She was playing basketball in England while attending school there.

The last I spoke with Nolan, at the end of season banquet, she was heading to California and was hoping to find a coaching job.

As others have made clear - Fiacco was signed, sealed and in the club months before the decision was made to change coaches. Nolan had nothing to do with it - she was Tammy's recruit. There's no gray area.

The Dark Lord did not get a full slate of scholarship classes. I wasn't lining up to give her more time but the kids routinely quit on Nolan and she leaves us where we'll likely be looking upwards at 10 wins next year.

An article from the Easton paper says T.G. is changing the culture of the women's team. Anyone quit or transfer out ?

The roster is posted, you can look it up.

Women dropped a 55-43 game to Manhattan in pre-season game. The team led in the first quarter but dropped behind after the second quarter.
