Well, he made wise choice, especially if his other choice was Dayton.  He's a little too small to be a DI quarterback, however.

I wonder if we can get Chuckie himself to do some color along with Mike Joseph?  Maybe some pointers on running the Tampa 2?

Pappas 6'1" 190 lb. much more DI size than Chuckie Jr.

Offers from Lafayette, Lehigh, Holy Cross, Stetson. Visited Lafayette today (01-29-2012) and Lehigh on Friday:

Tampa area newspaper blogs about Pappas:

Great-Grandson and namesake of a prominent Tampa-area restauranteur. Greek/Eastern Orthodox family tradition, which runs very strong in the Lafayette Valley. Gotta hook him up with local churches; make him feel at home in Pardsville. Good read:

I like this kid. Family values are strong. If he enjoys Lafayette (every reason he should), word will spread quickly in the Tampa area. Family restaurants decked out in maroon and/or leopard print, maybe?

Great workup, bogie!  It was nice to see Ryan O'Neill approach Pappas yesterday at the game and chat with him.   Seated nearby looked to be Jamel Smith, RB, New Egypt, NJ

Deuce Gruden's commitment now confirmed by rivals. Would have to guess as  a Jett-like slot. While some bloggers have said 5-6 "is a stretch" for Deuce, there is no doubting his strength. At a Feb '11 combine, Deuce, at 165 lbs, bench pressed the standard 185 - 26 times. That is phenomenal.

Rivals indicates Gruden's position as "athlete" so Coach T can use his skills as he sees fit. And no - nobody will begin referring to him as "Seed of Chucky" on this board.

Ever.

Until he deserves it, at least.

"Theyre looking to play him mostly at slot receiver and special teams and Im sure hes going to help them a lot.

I'm glad to have Deuce.  It seems he understands that he'll have to have some flexibility if he wants to play DI football. He might become a Wes Welker-type slot receiver, who knows?
Pards Rule

Deuce - welcome to the Hill!
