Win and advance!

Nick and Matt make 3rd team all PL. if we'd have had a better season, I'm sure Lindner would have been a first team selection.

Good luck, guys!

I may try to make it tonight since Loyola is in my neck of the woods, but my son's high school has a conference championship game at the same time.

Go Pards!

Not crazy about Shot selection from about the 1:35 mark to the finish. Good effort. Thank you Nick Lindner, awesome competitor.

I question why neither Lindner nor Klinewski took the last shot. Want to put the game in the hands of the best players if I'm winning or losing on the last shot.

I consider him the best PG we ever had - and I didn't just roll in last week!

He was top three - with Tony Duckett, Tim Beig and Jerry Kavanaugh all in the mix.   Will be missed, great career and would not be outworked.

I cringe ever time we call a time out to set up a play/shot because we very rarely execute. It is definitely not FOH's strong suit as evidenced by the lack of open looks off of our inbounds plays.
I agree that Klinewski would have been my option #1, but, the game moves fast and we had a few good looks down the stretch.
I think the team improved, they had some good moments, but, there is a gap between the top PL teams and LC talent wise as the scores from those games prove.

Colgate leads Lehigh 48-46. Rayman is going to be hard to stop for three more years. 13:13 left.
Kempton has four fouls. Gate is a terrible FT-shooting team.
51-49 Gate 11:13 left.

Lehigh wins, the top seeds all advance.

Kempton strapped everyone to his back and willed the Squawks to a DOT victory at Boston who beat them twice this year. Now the table is turned and we'll see if they can beat the Bison 3 times, this one in Lburg.

Kempton wouldve been the goat if they'd lost in regulation. BU lost cause the refs fouled out Alston on 2 phantom fouls while allowing Kempton to play for 17 mins with 4 fouls. (Whining pays off!?)

I used to point out the "taunting" style of the LU players a few years back. Contrast that with their guards on this team: skilled, classy, all business.

A throng of 511 witnessed the action in Boston.

n.

True.  You will have to watch a lot of basketball to see a worse call than the one that fouled Alston out.  With Boston having no legitimate backup center, that call effectively decided the game.

So explain to me again why exactly they are in the Patriot League? Not for hockey!?

Bison are dancing. Probably be a 15 maybe 14.

It is hard to believe that with the career that Kempton had, he never made the NCAA's. I don't think they make the NIT, maybe on of those other money wasting consolation tourneys?

I've seen a number of projections showing Bucknell as a 13.  The fact that that is even a realistic possibility shows that the quality of play in the league has improved over the years.  For many years as I recall, the Patriot League champion was fortunate if it was a 15.

Too bad for Kempton and Price though it's a day to note to Lehigh friends, Michael Hoffman has more NCAA appearances than perhaps Lehigh's best big man ever.
Lafayette was 0-8 versus the PL Final Four, average deficit of just over 20 points per loss.
Next year ... ? Matt K. Probably Stout will play a big role. He showed some promise.
Beyond that it's hard to predict anything more than the usual cast of interchangeable parts.
The Bison were the better team. Lehigh looked slow and tired in the second half.
Worse, Bucknell has a good cast returning for next year.

If Bucknell or any other PL member can produce consistent winners there is no reason Lafayette can't do it. As a matter of fact it should be easier than with football.

Here are your excuses:
Pre scholarship - other PL teams backups would be starters for us
2015-16 - we lost our top 3 scorers
2016-17 - we are very young and need to adjust to the speed of the game at this level
2017-18 - we don't have an experienced point guard

Our teams always improve, in game coaching is always top notch, I just do not understand why it seems we are several steps behind.
