Assuming all of this is true there has to be more to the story - I had better HS stats than what I can find on him.

seen,  if not for a few decades and a little more thyroid, you, too, might have been a bonus baby!

Welcome back Leopard Man!  Still no internet at the beach?!

We'll keep an eye on Levi this winter and see how he progresses.

Jordan commits to Lafayette

By Dave Fawcett

Published: July 25, 2008

When it comes to determining her career path, Samantha Jordan is still up in the air. She thinks right now she wants to either sell her own magazine or go into politics.....

A 5-foot-11 guard/forward, Jordan had 12 Division I offers to choose from, but felt in the end that Lafayette fit her needs both academically and athletically....

Lafayette had been following Jordan since last summer when the coaching staff saw her play in AAU competitions, Stonewall Jackson head girls basketball coach Nsonji White said. ....

Jordan also became familiar with the program through a friend of her father’s whose daughter was a freshman on the team.

“I liked the way the coach made me feel,” Jordan said. “I also liked the campus and their facilities plus the location. It’s like its own college town.”

A versatile player, Jordan averaged 11.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 4.2 steals per game last season in helping the Raiders go 25-1........

“Coach Smith said there wasn’t an athlete like Samantha in the Patriot League,” White said. “She gets to the basket and is long and lanky.”

Samantha sounds like a heck of a S/A and a wonderful addition to campus.  Congrats to the staff.   Welcome aboard, Samantha!

Griffith had some awesome rising seniors among the 200+ kids he had at his elite camp. I hope he got a few of them.

The three he got were indeed in that group. I also understand he lost one to UNC from someone close to the team. But she may not have been able to be admited.  I have a prediction...... that both Bohn and Griffith have top 20 teams within the next 4 years AND without comprising admission standards at all, and without expending anymore money than they would have without scholarships. It will be the template that should be followed for all the sports at Lafayette!!

DiCroce decides on Lafayette

By RALPH WEBER
The Intelligencer

There will be a girl named Deanna DiCroce playing field hockey at Central Bucks West this fall who may look just like the Deanna DiCroce who played for the Bucks in 2007. But it will be a new player, as far as she is concerned.

“I'm a totally changed player from last season; 180-degree different,” said DiCroce. “I'm so much improved. I can't wait to show everybody. I've been scoring a lot for my club team. My coach has trained me well.”

The new DiCroce will not have concerns about where she is going to college. She has verbally committed to Lafayette College. She cannot sign the official scholarship papers until November.

DiCroce, a forward, was also receiving interest from Bucknell and Drexel.

“This really takes a heavy load off my shoulders,” said DiCroce, who had 14 goals last season. “Now I don't have to worry about where I'll be next in my field hockey career. I've been doing so much work, but committing makes it all worth it.”

Under first-year coach Andrew Griffiths, the Leopards went 9-11 last year and finished third in the Patriot League.

DiCroce attended Lafayette's field hockey camp in early August and Griffiths offered her a scholarship then, but DiCroce took a couple days before letting him know she would accept it.

“When I talked to him at camp, I was just so overwhelmed by it,” DiCroce said. “I had to share it with my family and club coaches (Barb and Rich Cantwell of the WC Eagles). The second day after camp I called him. It was so exciting.”

Manning picks Lafayette

Alicia Manning, a senior guard/forward from Cardinal O'Hara, has orally committed to play basketball for Lafayette.
The 5-foot-10 Manning averaged about 10 points and five rebounds per game last season while helping lead the Lions to a 25-2 record and their third Catholic League championship in the last four years.

Manning, who also considered Davidson and Penn, is the third O'Hara senior player to commit to a Division I program. Center Stephanie Holzer and guard Danielle Callahan are headed to Vanderbilt and La Salle, respectively.
