Thanks for the catch Andy. No idea why they picked up another qb .

That is 4 2** qbs on roster. Lum is the best, I've seen at our level in quite a while and Clark aint bad Cisneros is sort of lost in there. A transfer???

Is it my imagination but is recruiting info slighter this year. Visits are a bit later maybe that is it

HS QB's are often recruited for a different position.  If he is the athletic type QB as someone else stated he could be pegged as a reciever or DB perhaps.

Good group of QBs for you guys.  With soph starters at LU and CU, I thought that might help funnel kids our way.  We'll see.  LC recruiting weekend this week, we hopefully will see some returns early next week.

Congrats on the 2* DE who had other options apparently.

Yeah, I had just seen that via the Delaware fan board and posted it, Leopard Man.  We're on the same page:-)  Why we weren't after that kid considering our needs at DE, I have no idea. There's a lot of kids out there.  It strikes me as impressive for LU as generally speaking I wouldn't think a kid from the Caldwells would show much "need" and they got him over scholarship programs.

BTW, they have a couple published good recruits and we have three so far.  We're doing fine, it seems. Their recruiting weekend preceeded ours.
Like I said, though, we let them off the mat with that loss. No one to blame but ourselves. (and the QB injury)

Let's just wait and see how it all shakes out. It strikes me that we weren't even in the hunt for that kid. Perhaps there is a reason for that. Maybe we have our sights set on some other recruits...who knows. I was recently reading a post over on AGS that points out that the Lombardi and Buchannan winners over the last decade were, for the most part, were either not graded or even listed on Rivals. I'm not saying it isn't nice to get highly touted recruits. I would say however, success is not predicated on hype coming out of HS. it is entirely concieveable that the coaches are looking for traits and or skills in kids whether or not they are listed on Rivals.

I agree wholeheartedly.   I'll take offers over *s any day as an indicator of quality, and this DE has 'em.

But his offers were from schools who are no better then Lafayette.  Towson, Northeastern, Cornell??  We are talking about the worst of the CAA and a perennial Ivy cellar dweller.  Also Army is nothing special, as they recruits dozens of kids a year and I had plenty of teammates at Lafayette who were better or as good as many of the Army players.

Overall this kid does seem like a good athlete, but as Pard 94 says I gotta think there is a reason we didnt even offer him.
