Obama takes the oath, twice.
48 degree day yesterday.
Wash my car for $5.00.
Football recruits in town.
Lafayette v Lehigh Basketball (Mens & Womens)
I guess the only thing to make this day better is to sit in the lounge chairs during the game.
Hell. I might even have to keep the points per possesion ratio (inside joke)
GO PARDS! |

Didn't sit in the lounge chairs.
Two losses.
At least I didn't get a parking ticket!
Hoping for the sun to shine tomorrow! |

Here's my glass half full. We came back from 16 down. Our bench is stronger than it has been in years.( I love the energy our bench brings to the court) We are young and getting better!! We can attract 3100 fans without the students at school. Despite lehigh being more athletic they suck and are very beatable.
Here's the half empty. Brown hasn't got his stroke back and might not this season.( Is it the longer three point line). We were not as athletic as Lehigh. Who will be our go to guy consistently for the rest of the season. This academic calender means most of the season these guys are not playing in front their student supporters. We lost to Lehigh |

We arent going to beat many teams shooting 32%. That said, does anyone recall a game in recent years where the front court outscored the guards? An aberration....or is the balance starting to come, and while it might not produce many wins this year, will it over the longer haul? I have not seen a game first hand this year, and I am not sure if the other team is daring us to move the ball inside or are we doing it of our own design? |

This is the most inside presence we've had in a long time. Mintz is really improved and playing confidently and if Willen keeps improving....... Brown is just overmatched right now. He's 5-10 (???) and Lehigh put a 6-3 defender on him the whole game. He can't get a good look and when he does I think he's either pressing or by the second half he's tired from being held, pushed, etc. We had a lot of really good looks at 3's in the second half that we didn't knock down. Kari stepped up, but, none of our other guards scored. Benbow was hurt, didn't play and limped noticably. Defensively we played well enough to win, our shooting was off. Fran keeps saying we are a good shooting team. We need to be better than "good".
P.S. Lehigh has over 21' of big men collecting $50,000 a year in scholarship money to warm up the seats at the end of the bench. Anderson plays, but, he's a 4, not a center. I like what I see down the road. |

Good observations, guys. With Andrew and Gruner shooting a combined 1-16, who'd have thought we'd be there in a position to win at the end. This young team is ahead of schedule. Terrific physical effort. GO PARDS! |

I think it's less than 14' because Safstrom is a walk-on. |
