One thing that disturbs is that without some very unexpected miraculous catches, we could well be 4-3.....Can we expect the miracles to continue?[/quote]
I think that you need to put this in the category of someone making a play, not a miracle. Considering that Layton has made 3 one handers, I think he's just a darn good receiver! |

Early forecast for Saturday is 40% chance of rain. Here we go again. Isn't this the 6th consecutive week of either rain or a serious threat thereof? |

Lafayette has moved up to the equivalent of number 27 in the AGS poll, behind Holy Cross (20), Liberty (21), and Colgate (25).
We are number 28 on the TSN poll where, incredibly, Lehigh at 2-5 is still registering votes (only 5, but even 1 proves that this poll is done by morons).

That's still not Top 25. We're safe for another week...at least on the AGS poll. _________________ Pard94 |

"They ought to just go ahead and give Lafayette the trophy as the Ivy League champion," Penn coach Al Bagnoli said this week. "They've earned it. They beat everybody." |

And the final poll is in with the Coaches Poll showing Lafayette in "Others Receiving Votes" at the equivalent of number 27. |

Reversing some earlier thoughts in here; we should hope for a good national ranking because it factors into the GPI for playoff selection. With a good enough GPI we could maybe avoid a first round game against a power CAA team if we win out somehow. Home game would be contingent upon our financial bid. |

We won't sniff a national ranking until and unless we beat Colgate. At that point I suspect we would be somewhere in the 20-25 realm. If we beat Holy Cross I suspect we would be in the 15-20 range. If we make the playoffs I doubt highly Lafayette would pony up the $$ needed for a home game...Best we pack our bags. As long as we are dreaming...assuming we would travel in the playoffs, what are the chances they might get a game in the Northeast. UNH, UMass...I'd love to go watch those. UNH would be awesome for me.
Of course I feel obliged to say none of this happens until we run the table. That starts with Bucknell. _________________ Pard94 |

Nova and Richmond would also be high seeds if they do what is expected. The PL winner would be going to either Nova, Richmond, UNH, or UMASS it looks like. They like to avoid re-matches in the first round and most of those CAA teams would have played each other already. Also them seem to send the OVC or MEAC winner to the Southern schools like APP State or Elon, so they would probably go there. |
