We are averaging 7812 fans through four games. Our last game had only 6600 (fair weather fans!) Add 2000 to the total (comparable to last two years) and we'd be averaging 8300 through four. I'll assume 12000 will show combined, so our season total will likely be 7200 per game. Not enough to convince the committee.

One more time - and I hope in English - you do not need to "convince the committee."  It's all about the money.  Show them the money!  You make a bid and guarantee the NCAA the dollar amount of your bid.  It doesn't matter if only the parents of the players have showed up all year.  It doesn't matter if no one shows up at the game.  The only thing that matters is the size of the check.  I think those SOBs would stage the games at empty high school fields if the checks were big enough.

I think you can see Shoop play and judge for yourself, this Sunday, 2:00, JV game vs. US Military Prep at LC. The young man has a strong, accurate arm and great leadership presence but got picked clean for an int / TD by Albright last week after telegraphing a pass. He also made several really nice passes in the scrimmage. I think he just needs some seasoning and will be great.

Indications are that he has consistently through his career made bad decisions with the ball.  Someone on the coaching staff (Mickey?) needs to take him under his wing and make a real QB out of him.  It would be a criminal waste of talent to just treat him like everyone else and take the "let's see what he's got" approach.  This one apparently requires - and deserves - some special nurturing.

I think the implication might be a large crowd could offset some of money required to show to the committee. In other words a $50K check is more palatable if you think you might get $35K back from the door.

Where did you get that from? You're not coming to that conclusion based on the TD against Albright, right?

Alright alright...the Football Gods are getting pissed...I can feel it. All talk of playoffs need to cease and desist right now. Carney, do you have an extra chicken claw I can wear around my neck for the next couple of days? We need to appease the Gods.

But there is no Curse.  There are no football gods.  I heard that officially from an old - but he says not so old - Lafayette offensive lineman.

Information is that he was prone to throw interceptions in high school and has shown some of that in his few months on College Hill.

No there is no Curse...in case you missed it, we swept the Ivies this year. It's one thing to believe in a curse it's another not to mess with the team mojo. I know it may not seem so on the surface...but there's a huge difference. Trust me...and pass the chicken claw.
