Problems with Emoticons

Apparently I am not the only one experiencing this, but when I use the number 8 I frequently get an Emoticon in its place.

I've seen this problem on other boards as well. The software doesn't differentiate between an eight followed by a ")" and the emoticon made up of this. If you click this face Cool

, it'll come up in the text box as the number 8 followed by a ")". Not sure if there's a way around that.

Instead of using the 8, just enter it as the square root of 64 or 2 to the third power.
