Lafayette hammer thrower Ashley Harbin gets a chance at the Olympics today in Eugene Ore. Best of luck to the first ever Lafayette athlete to make it this far.
Asst Field Hockey Coach Amy Tran has already made the team and will return to her duties after her Beijing competition. She is the team goalie.
Best of luck to her!! |

Tran is the team goalie coach. She didn't play at Lafayette. |

It should also be pointed out that the sixth place finisher in the men's javelin, Barry Krammes, a graduate of East Stroudsburg University, has been training under throws coach Curcio. I believe he is a high school teacher who took a year off to follow his dream.
Both coach Curcio (throws & pole vault) and coach Jackson (sprints & jumps) have been doing a great job bringing in talented student-athletes. We don't have the depth that the academies and Bucknell have but we've had a lot of top three finshers in the PL meets. |
