FH holds Uva to 1 goal

I stopped by Metzger yesterday and caught our FH team scrimmage with the University of VA for 3 25 minute periods. The final was 1-0 Va in a very good defensive effort. Our goalie played very well, along with some of our defensive upperclassmen. It was hard to see if any freshmen played, as you couldn't see their nbrs and there was no program.
There were flashes on the offensive side but we still are looking for that spark, but given we were playing this ACC power it was understandable.
There is reason to believe we will be better, but I'm glad we have another 10 days before the first game.

My hat's off to you, Laf. You are truly a man for all seasons. I freely admit to being almost exclusively focused on pigskinery and round ball.

I'm for anyone wearing the Maroon and White!!! Go Pards. I'd love to see all our teams in the NCAA's this fall. Its especially nice to see us do well against the large power conferences in any sport!!

Lafalum must be on vacation since he hasn't posted on field hockeys 4 -1 opening game victory over LaSalle. Leopards scored first on a perfectly designed and executed penalty corner or whatever is they call thse shots. Took a 2-0 lead to the half but lost focus early in the second half allowing LaSalle to close to 2-1. They then reestablished control of the game to win going away. Coach got most of the players in, including some of the freshman.
