Thanks to Aaron for making it possible.

Man, I'm disappointed. I keep getting this flashing message saying I'm the one millionth post.

Now I know why you're always getting viruses. Don't click on those pop ups! Jeez.  But, hey, there's still Publishers Clearing House, you've still got action!

Thanks Andy.  I knew a couple and a couple were new to me.  Upcoming camps should tell us more.  Word I get is that Tavani feels he is way ahead of last year in terms of finding prospects.

Heralded incoming freshman, Matt Rothrock, who missed the E-W AS game due to injury, will "most likely" redshirt this season, to be determined at the end of camp.

Apparently 15 or so incoming freshmen are working out with the team either while attending summer session or commuting.  Seems like an excellent # for a class of 21.

Andy:

You are correct. Fifteen freshman are on campus. Most of the workouts are with the upperclassmen. Apparently six have elected not to attend this month's conditioning.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the incoming freshmen can't work out with the coaches until they're actually enrolled.  They can go to captain's practices, though.

Or am I wrong?

Correct.  Actually current student-athletes also cannot work out with the coaches present- only the S&C staff.

Yes, you are correct. Workouts at this stage do not include Coaches by NCAA rule.

I believe that sessions are run by the conditioning folks. In addition to training, many of the boys are working with with the 7-14 year old week long camp on campus

So how did the 2013 recruits grade?

Drew Reed (8 games - and he shined) must lead the class, albeit by default due to injury of the two QB's starting the year ahead of him on the depth chart.

Draeland James (12 games, 35 tackles, 2 interceptions) worked his way into a starting role in the secondary - partly because of injuries - and he was better than solid.

Andy Labudev (2 games, 5 tackles) began the season as a DL starter and was good until injury terminated his year.

Collin Albershardt (12 games, 17 tackles, 1.5 sacks) was on all kickoffs, played rush end on obvious passing downs and in other situations as the season progressed.

Ryan Forrester (12 games, 53 punts, 35 yard avg) handled all punts with good hang time and few snafus.

Tim Vangelas (11 games, 10 receptions, 7 punt returns) was solid returning punts and was on the field a fair bit as WR.

Mark Rothrock (8 games, 3 tackles, 0.5 sack) saw some DL action and was a force when on the field.

Robin Cepeda saw DL action, although limited.

Hunter Price (WR) was forced by injury in the secondary to play DB and did so admirably (sorry to see him leave - wish him the best).

Duncan Sparks (7 games, 3 tackles) showed talent at LB.

Blake Searfoss (QB) held for PK most of the season w/o hitch and showed promise in botched XP for 2-point conversion against LU and touchdown drive at UNH.

Alex Alford (1 game, 2 tackles) saw limited DL action.

Don't recall seeing Mayfield, Greenfield, Staudle, Helm, Leach, Bor, McCann or Carroll, but I may have missed some action on a refreshment break.

For a coach that historically hates using freshmen that's a lot of rookie activity - some bordering on brilliant.

I'm giving the 2013 class a solid B.  I will expect most, if not all, to make the 2-deep depth chart next year.  I am looking for a Grade A class come Febrary 5, 2014 signing day.  Can't wait!
