How is it we come in fourth, make the playoffs and only have one second team all league selection, lehigh doesn't even make the playoffs only wins two games in the league and has four players selected all league.
Using that reasoning our coach should be coach of the year and the lehigh coach should be fired!! |

Its generally pretty well weighted towards scorers and upper classmen. I could have made a case for BJ Glenn and Griffen but apparently the voters didnt see it that way. I dont agree, but other than stats dont know much about the other teams so its tough to say if the guys in those positions were just head/shoulders above.
Further, our keepers split the season so had perhaps Nelson gotten a few more starts he would have made a good case for team as he led league in a few stat catagories.
You are correct - on the surface it seems silly. |

Yeah, I was shaking my head at that, too. Soccer is a funny sport with the ties. The first and fourth place teams have the same number of losses, but one team can have a 7-1 advantage in all-stars!? Hopefully when we reach our full (for us) allotment of scholarships, our numbers will rise. The effects of scholarships are well shown with three of the top four teams now sholarship. The Holy Cross coach is doing a hell of a job.
We allot two scholarships a year, total of eight, right? Is that the NCAA allowed max? |

The max is 13 but soccer like field hockey is not a counter sport so partials can be awarded and combined with need based aid, so he can get to the max no problem with combination of merit and need. |
