Andy,
It was a good game for the first time this year Lehigh did not cave. Your board reminds me a bit of ours for most of the season.
Now for important stuff. This weekend I will send over my possibles list which as usual has a lot of considering LU,LC and Ivies. I hope we can win more of those this year.
What do you think will happen with schollies now with economic crash. For that matter, there may be a question of even keeping funding at present levels given the losses we both suffered in endownment. |

OK, Rich. Wow, you're out of the blocks quickly! I'd be interested, of course.
I hear you on scholarships in this economic climate. More than ever they have to sell the ideas of parallel costs with reduced rosters and resultant higher academics. I'm not optimistic for the near term. |

Given the endownment shortfall I would think no movement on athletic aid and probably a reduction in grants for Lehigh. How much? Who knows. |

RichH.. not sure if you have mentioned this before, but where does HC stand on athletic scholarships? If there was a vote today, the myth is that HC would vote against.. |

Regarding the aid issue, I have heard from really good high sources that a game with Rutgers is on the table.( I heard this two weeks ago) The only thing holding it up of course is the guarantee of 58 full aid equivilants which this person says is in the works and likely( three more than today). This of course is self funding since the payment from Rutgers more the covers it. This would be for 2010 of course. We actually have been as high as 63 equivilents over the past 8 years.
Given the state of the economy it'll be easier to justify need based aid as well, with personal balance sheets as bad as they are!! |
