"Competitive" can mean different things to different people. An argument could be made that eliminating some sports will make us more competitive in the remaining sports.I am conditioned to look for the negative by my lifetime association with our alma mater.I look at McCutcheon's statement in conjunction with Byerley's to conclude that the overall goal of this investigation is to  refine the utilization of the athletics program to further institutional goals rather than to foster broad athletic success. Competitiveness is a lesser goal in that context and could mean reduce sports teams and aim to compete but not necessarily  aim to consistently win championships.

Another league title and 9 win season for Lehigh.  This is the 4th time Lehigh will win 9 plus games this decade.  Frank has never won 9 games in a season.  So tired of this.

Yes, I realize Lehigh still needs to beat us to reach 9 wins, but that is an absolute certainty that they will.  They might score more than Army did.

To make it more frustrating, their players are no better than ours.  I think we may be actually more athletic at most positions.

I have hope that we'll be competitive in the next games. The question is will the team be properly prepared?

I got to talk with my friend that was a referee in our game against Army. He had nothing positive to say. Not only were we bad but out of position, unorganized, bickering on the sidelines. I was disappointed to hear what he had to say.

I guess maybe a 62-7 game in the midst of a bad losing streak may have something to do with that. Bad day at Black Rock.

I wish nothing but the best for Coach Tavani, and I would like nothing better than to see him win these last two games.

If Tavani wins one of the last two before his retirement dinner, I swear I'll change my avatar and and post nice things about him.
