I'll keep my eyes open.  I'm looking forward to the start of the season.

I'm expecting great things this season. Jim Rogalski now has all of "his guys" and they're from the best programs. 3-11 (and 0-8 in the PL) is not an option.

No pressure, but one imagines that Coach Rogalski might be looking over his shoulder at "The Study."

Of course my eternally-biassed lax optimism has us taking down Michigan in the opener (which, BTW, will be played in the Wolverines indoor practice facility). One can dream . . . .

Yes and they looked very good.  I think it was 14-12 Georgetown at the end of Q4 when we left. Lafayette went up early in the game and were tied or exchanged leads throughout.  Also came back from a 4 goal deficit late to cut it to 2 with at least 3 off the pipe and the team never quit.  We won more FOs as Sullivan and new freshman Becker were very strong.  Completely different team from last year in terms of clearing the ball with much more speed and players getting open.  Freshmen started or subbed in often on D, LSM and a few Ms.  The younger Sands brother played M and was a force with at least 2 goals.  Still some things to work on including forced passes on the crease and lack of playmaking from X but overall very impressive.  Georgetown always has strong recruiting classes but Lafayette was right with them so hopefully a sign of good things to come.

Better, but Georgetown is not a world beater.  Last year ranked just above Colgate and Holy Cross.  But its progress and good to hear re: speed, FO and clears.   This weekend a stronger opponent and tougher test.

Good news. Good news. 2010 team won 8 of first 10 (two losses by a total of three goals) and ranked as high as 8th (might have been even 6th). Maybe...

(See. That's what happens when we "win" a blankin' scrimmage. That's how starved we are for athletic success around here.)

I remain optimistic about the women's lax team. We lost some close ones last year and a lot of skilled players still remain. Preseason pick 8th I predict a COMPETITIVE 5th.

I attended the scrimmage against Quinnipiac this past Saturday. I was impressed with the way the leopards played. I believe the score was 10-2 Lafayette at the beginning of the 4th quarter when I left. Looked like Ski was going to give some of the younger guys some burn.

Few things I noticed:
- Defense looked like they were communicating and sliding well
- Quinnipiac didn't get to many shots off, but goalie play was good
- Face off guy for Lafayette was great (this is big)
- Offense looked good. A couple big middies and an attack unit that played together well. Lots of cutting off ball.
- Quinnipiac got a 3 minute non releasable when the score was 4-2. I think the leopards scored 4 times on EMO during those 3 minutes

Left feeling pretty good about the team. If they keep winning face-offs and playing loose I think they could surprise a few teams this year.

Looking forward to Michigan.

LG - Thanks for that report.  That makes me excited for this year.  I only wish that there was a viewing option for Michigan.  Knock on wood, we can take the next step.
