Pards have superior skill and technique. Army is much more athletic. Tied at the half so we'll see which advantage wins this one.

It's starting to look like "Kirsten Wilhelmsen and the Seven Dwarfs" again. Army up 9-8 but plenty of time left. Pards can do this.

Army = 34 fouls. Pards = 7 fouls. I think we're too nice.

With all the fouls from behind from Army, it has had an effect on the Lafayette offense. Much tougher game than expected. Army goalie playing out of her mind.
I wonder if a lack of an indoor facility hurt this week??

Just joined the game as we scored to make it 11-10.  Thought this would be an easy game.  Now 12-10.  Even so, should be crushing this team.

Retire Bruce, FOH, and Wilhelmsen's #31.

I'm surprised the refs didn't pull the yellow card more often on Army. They were not playing under control. That said we gotta convert more of our free position shots.

Good game of contrasting styles: finesse vs brute force. Finesse won this time.

Totally agree, the game was almost out of control...a few yellows would have ended that. The crosscheck on the back with seconds left was unnecessary.

So who should get female athlete of the year?? Willhelmsen or Magadan. Maybe a tie if Wilhelmsen keeps it up??

If Wlax makes it to the PL playoffs....obvious choice.  If they don't, it will be a tough call.

The rubber meets the road after Villanova. There will be no "good losses." Loyola and American might seem like they're down this season but both have had brutal OOC schedules - especially Loyola. They will be tough, as will Navy.

6-3 in the PL ought to be the target. And now we've got the first win.

IMO Playing a physical game--as did Rutgers, Temple, and Binghampton--is an absolute necessity if you WANT to beat us. Army did their homework. The games that have concerned me since Day #1 have been Colgate and Bucknell. How we do will decide whether we are upper echelon or not. Can we gameplan against teams that want to rough us up?
