Ottawa? What is this "aboot?"
Former all-rookie player goes home. This is almost surely not the last one to go over the wall either. Or through a tunnel.
This could be "The Great Escape: College Hill."
Coach D, you get a pass for a bit. You've taken on the worst job in D1.

Well...the good news is, we're now in a better position to implement coach Damon's up-tempo style.

Looks like she'd had enough when last season ended - this certainly isn't an indictment of coach Damon.

We have 9 on the roster right now  - sans whatever frosh decide to make the trek to Easton in August. We should be OK.

We're back to where we were two years ago, and five years before that, and ... waiting about three years for the new coach to get her recruits into place to see if this train wreck can be straightened out.  Once again, I am cautiously optimistic, but it's getting to be a bit repetitive.

I wish Coach Damon the best of luck to mold this disparate group into a team by November. It is a daunting task.Nevertheless I look forward to the LaBarre tailgate to meet her and the new players.

It is getting ridiculous isn't it?

Yes, we've all seen this movie over and over again. It hasn't gotten better and always ends the same way.  Rolling Eyes

I read French reasonably well (three years of French at Lafayette including French Lit Wink ). To highlight, Ms. Ribarich says she considered both Ottawa and Lafayette after high school; she contacted Ottawa this spring after she had surgery on her foot last season. She had to live at Lafayette all by herself and decided to go Ontario to be near her family.

Ms. Ribarich says she doesn't play fast but with power underneath and she thinks that will help Ottawa in the Canadian style of play, which tends to be faster - she can help slow things down. She likes to help those around her play their best. Ms. Ribarich is looking forward to Ottawa's pre-season tournament in Costa Rica.

One thing we've learned for certain is how to hire a coach.  Everything else falls into the wait and pray category.
