This season is history. Unfortunately Ohanlon signaled that last night.

In what way?

Experimenting with new rotations at this stage of the seasons is capitulation. Look at the box score! We are now playing for next year. In Ohanlon's mind there is no chance this year and he wants to see what he has.

Agreed (but we were down 20 and made no second half run) and why not. Mower has replaced Visockas in the rotation. AB played 24 mins. He usually pushes 35. Not having Mintz has hurt. I think we need to know if Pelham can help. If we are bringing in a frosh PG we need to know if Moore can rotate with him.

And that is what I was talking about. Ohanlon should do that but it is an admission this season is gone.

I know Woodhousw went down, they embarassed us without him. I don't know if Fran was playing with the line up because he gave up on the one game or the season. I think the one game. We have no chance in the playoffs unless Brown and Co are not only playing but playing well.

MC article on Mintz. Implied strength and conditioning comments from Fran.

If we continue to shoot at a 30% clip, our next win will be in the '09-'10 season.

You guys don't appreciate how hard it is to win at Colgate. It is the most stale environment you can imagine. You have to spend the entire time reminding yourself "this is a game that counts, this game counts" because the atmosphere is just so dead. Even our better teams had trouble winning there---the game feels like a scrimmage. Some places have a home court advantage because the crowd intimidates you, Colgate has one because you have trouble remembering if this is really a D1 game ata ll.

It's not that the concerns about our program aren't valid---but I ALWAYS hated going up there--most of our teams do (Obviously the fact that Colgate has good teams is a problem too).

The last game I remember winning at Colgate was 98-99 season (I think).  We played at midnight on ESPN.  We were clearly the better team that year but still only managed to win by 2 points.

You can chalk up the away games at Bucknell and Colgate as losses before the season start.

@ Hamilton
American wins by 30

Your memory is failing you Mr Truth. In 1997-98 we won at Colgate 77-66, in 1998-99 we lost 47-46, in 1999-2000 we won 64-58, in 2000-01 we lost 79-66, in 2001-02 we lost 85-73, in 2002-03 we won 89-76, in 2003-04 we lost 67-66 in OT, in 2004-05 we lost 80-72, in 2005-06 we won 63-55, in 2006-07 we won 71-65, in 2007-08 we won 69-68 in OT. So our record at Colgate over that 11 year period is a respectable 6-5.
