OK. I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong. Maybe the Navy game was a wake up call and they now are playing like we though they could. I wasn't totally shocked that we beat BU at home but winning at Stabler is nice, any year. I guess I'll get my butt to KSC on Weds and Sat and cheer these guys on to the end!

The answer to my question as to whether we can win out is.........
Not if the officials allow a basketball game to be played like a football game. Tonight's first half was utterly rediculous. The 3 zebras need to go back to the CYO league that they came from since they were entirely overwhelmed by a D1 game! I don't mind losing, I really dispise having a game taken away from a team because of gutless officiating. Shame on us for not reaponding when punched in the mouth and shame on us for thinking that we only need to show up to win a home game, but, quite honestly, we never had a chance. |

The team played like they were physically and emotionally spent from the Lehigh game. Judging by the Lehigh/Bucknell score, Lehigh may have played the same way. Just 31% shooting, 21% from beyond the arc and a miserable 50% from the line. Defensiely, we let Army shoot 55% for the game. |

In a year when this team pretty much lived down to expectations, this one is a Top 5 clunker. |

A bad shooting game (and boy this was bad one) I can live with.
A terrible night with the refs. Worse than normal (offensive foul on Gruner, what was that ref thinking!!!!).
Yet what got me annoyed was how the players lost their poise and focus. You saw a Laf player yelling at his teammate because he didn't catch his bad pass. That basket that they gave up at the end of the half. The poor foul shooting. etc.
This game wasn't pretty from all aspects. Bummer too, having the potential to bump up to a possible 4th seed and get home court.
Here's hoping for a better performance on senior day. |
