Agreed. As I told Tavani after the game yesterday, "now it's on to the Bronx and let's win there"

First trip to Yankee Stadium for this farmboy. I hear that catching a cab after the game is not a high probability event. Is this right?

Nope.  Stick with the subway.

The 4 train gets you to the stadium from Times Square.
And back. Faster than a cab and cheaper.
The smell is roughly the same.
My recommendation: don't explore the neighborhood.

****note you get the 4 at Grand Central. You can take the S shuttle line from Times Square to the terminal or walk.

Thanks. Sounds delightful. Looks like the game will be cold and wet, too.

Weather forecast is improving, but, with 9 days to go we still can't put much faith in it.  The prediction of high temps in the mid-40s is probably pretty good though.  Hey, it's late November.  Dress for it.

If 49, 000+ attend next Saturday's game at Yankee Stadium, where would that stand on the list of highest single game attendance for a FCS team, ie since FCS existed?

Nowhere near the record.  Harvard-Yale was 75,000+ in 1981.

Harvard-Yale in 1981 was still 1-A (now FBS) but Harvard@Yale games since were ovah 50K

Some of the HBCU games have have been ovah 50K in the FCS era too.

Do you guys think 49K are going to show up in the Bronx in late November?

I'll believe it when I see it.

There will be a lot of no shows.  Don't forget many people buying the tickets couldn't give a flip about the actual game.  People I know are selling tickets because it will be too cold!

I expect maybe 42k or so.

For some the logistics will be daunting, and it's not predicted to be a balmy fall day, so I'm guessing there will be some empty seats.  I've been offered tickets for sale by two individuals in just the last few days.

I remember giving tickets away for the Ice bowl game at Lehigh in late 80's.

Anyone going to Badman to watch Gate-Lehigh?

I'll be streaming from the laptop onto the TV...

I'm watching that game right now. I hate to say this; but, I have no confidence whatsoever in our ability to beat Lehigh. Searfoss has to start and that offensive line has to suck it up.

Saw Lehigh play Villanova  in BB last night on regular TV.  I don't care how we did against Robt. Morris, Lehigh looked really tough.  Kinda depressing.

You call yourself Pard Fan and say you have no confidence in the football team and assume LU basketball will be better than us after playing one game. You're no fan, dude.

I'll be coming in (to NYC) from Illinois.  Could be doing other things.  What's your level of commitment, ***hole.
